COVID-19: National Bank Clients Can Now Request a Payment Deferral on Their Personal Loans Online

National Bank launched an online form enabling its clients to request a deferral on their personal loan payments. Clients who are currently experiencing financial difficulties due to COVID-19 will be able to postpone their principal and interest payments for up to three months.

This measure is part of the financial relief program we're offering due to this crisis. Information is updated regularly at nbc.ca. Clients can also request a mortgage payment deferral using the online form uploaded last week.

Due to the high volume of requests we’re receiving related to our support measures, processing can take a few days. However, we're making sure all our clients receive a response, and we’re asking them to limit their follow-up phone calls. This will allow our teams to continue responding effectively to the most urgent requests.

“Our priority is to help our clients deal with this exceptional situation while ensuring everyone’s safety. That's why I’m encouraging all our clients to use our digital solutions, like the form we launched today, so people can stay at home and limit the spread of the virus. During the current health crisis, the well-being of the community is everyone’s business,” said Lucie Blanchet, Executive Vice-President – Personal Banking and Client Experience at National Bank.
